How is Matte PPF different from a matte vinyl wrap?
Vinyl wraps are 3–4 mil decorative film with no impact protection. Matte PPF is 8 mil multi-layer urethane with a self-healing topcoat — full rock-chip and scratch protection at the same time as the matte look. Vinyl tears on a rock strike; PPF absorbs the hit. Vinyl typically lasts 3–5 years; PPF carries a 10-year warranty.
Will the matte finish dull or fade over time?
No. The matte texture is engineered into the film structure itself, not a topcoat that wears off. With routine pH-neutral washing, the finish stays uniform for the life of the film.
